SHINE Farms

Across Nigeria, millions of smallholder farmers are trapped in a cycle of declining yields and rising costs - not because the land has failed them, but because they have never been shown a better way. The Leader Team is changing that. Through the SHINE Farms program, we train farmers in what we call Foundations for Farming- Simple, Manageable, Applicable, and Long-Lasting. These are proven,

practical methods that restore depleted land and dramatically increase productivity. The evidence is clear: farmers trained under our program are poised to achieve an average yield of 8 tons per hectare, against Nigeria's national average of just 1.5 tons. Behind every statistic is a farmer who can now feed their family, build wealth, and steward their land responsibly - restoring biodiversity, managing water wisely, and farming in ways that will outlast them.

In 2025, we launched our pilot training program, directly reaching 60 local farmers. Our Abuja facility alone has the capacity to train 100 farmers monthly. In early 2026, we expanded operations to Akwa-Ibom State, training over 300 farmers and conducted our first Train-the-Trainer session - a model designed to multiply impact well beyond the reach of our immediate team.

This is only the beginning. Our goal is to train 5,000 farmers nationwide by 2029 and 10,000 by 2034. In the 2026 planting season, we also provided farm inputs directly to beneficiaries - because knowledge is most effective when paired with the tools to act on it.
